The magnificent old walled city of Dubrovnik is steeped in historical, architectural and artistic treasures boasting spectacular Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains within the pedestrianised, cobbled lanes of the Old Town.

Set against a backdrop of wooded hillsides and with panoramic views of the Dalmatian coastline, this is the place that George Bernard Shaw called 'Paradise on Earth', and that Game of Thrones fans call 'King's Landing'.

This superb value half board holiday is based at the 4 star Hotel Lapad on Dubrovnik's Lapad Peninsula, overlooking Gruz Harbour and within easy reach of the Old Town, either on foot (it's about a 3.5 km/2 mile walk) or by local buses which run frequently throughout the day.

In addition, there are a number of optional excursions to book in resort, many of them offering free places for children under 12.

Whilst in Croatia why not take the opportunity to visit Montenegro, a small, picturesque country of exceptional natural beauty combined with rich history and culture. Located less than an hour's drive from Dubrovnik, you will enjoy a drive around Kotor Bay, stop in medieval Kotor , then continue up into the mountains and through Cetinje, once the seat of Montenegrian rulers, before finally visiting Budva, an ancient town which today is a lively holiday resort.

Departs: Wednesdays - Price: approx. €52.00 - Children up to 12 years free

Visit Bosnia Herzegovina and this beautiful city of contrasts where the Mediterranean meets the East, and the city is divided not only by the Neretva River but also by religion and culture between one bank and the other. The town is full of stunning buildings and monuments assembled harmoniously over the centuries, and after a guided tour of sights such as the Old Bazaar, the Turkish House and the many Mosques, you will have some free time for strolling and browsing among the old craft shops, or perhaps enjoy some lunch in one of the local restaurants.

Departs: Tuesdays & Thursdays - Price: approx. €54.00 - Children up to 12 years free

Island of Korčula

The island of Korčula is full of legends, tales and monuments; probably more than any of the other Croatian islands. Known as stonemasons, shipbuilders and seafarers, the people of Korčula, most famously (so they say) Marco Polo, left their mark all over the world, but they saved their best work for their own city. We travel north by road along the stunning coastline to Orebić where we cross by boat to Korčula. Experience the narrow streets, beautiful churches and magnificent palaces in one of the best–preserved medieval towns in the Mediterranean. After some sightseeing, there will be plenty of time for lunch or swimming (if you're brave!). On the return journey, a stop will be made at one of the well–known wine cellars to sample some of the excellent local wine.

Departs: Fridays - Price: approx. €54.00 - Children up to 12 years free

Monday Breakfast, and then a day at leisure. At some point during the day, your resort representative will hold a Welcome Meeting for all Omega guests where you will have the opportunity to book excursions if you wish.

Tuesday – Saturday Free time to explore your resort and the UNESCO old town of Dubrovnik, relax by the heated outdoor pool or perhaps undertake an excursion or two. Towards the end of your stay the resort representative will visit again to advise you of your departure details.
